Immersive Worlds

Large-scale, location-based storytelling for museums, heritage sites, and public spaces. VRVoyage, our flagship 360° VR experience, is already a live tourist attraction in Amsterdam — and we’re proving what comes next with Unreal Engine.

What is Immersive Worlds

Places that tell their own story

Immersive Worlds is where The Lions Alliance pushes technology and storytelling furthest — transforming a place, a landscape, or a whole city into something visitors step into, rather than just look at.

Our clearest proof of what this pillar can do already exists: VRVoyage, a 70-minute 360° VR canal-boat journey through Amsterdam’s Golden Age, live today as a tourist attraction in Amsterdam. To explore where the format goes next, we built the Immersive World Demo — a one-minute proof of concept showing what the same kind of experience looks like built in Unreal Engine, for a real step up in visual fidelity.

Meijel Through the Ages takes the same idea to a single village: a 360° VR ride through the fields as Meijel grows up around you, from its earliest days through the Second World War, built on the same Unreal pipeline as the demo.

Our work

One live attraction. One proof of concept. One concept ahead.

VRVoyage
A 70-minute immersive VR journey aboard a real Amsterdam canal boat: passengers put on headsets and are carried back to the year 1600, seeing the exact streets and waterways they just passed rebuilt in full 3D as they looked four centuries ago, guided by a fictional boatman and populated by motion-captured crowds. Built entirely in Blender, using Xsens motion capture for the crowd animation and Reallusion iClone to clean and prepare it. This preview shows what the final experience looks like.

Immersive World Demo
A one-minute preview showing what a project like VRVoyage could look like built in Unreal Engine instead of Blender — using OWL360 capture and MetaHuman characters for a real step up in visual fidelity. Drag to look around; it’s rendered as a full 360° scene.
Meijel Through the Ages
A 360° VR experience where you ride through the fields as the village of Meijel grows up around you — from its earliest days through the Second World War. Planned on the same Unreal Engine pipeline as the Immersive World Demo.

Let’s talk about your space

Immersive Worlds has already proven the format at city scale, with more installations in concept and design. We’re actively looking for cultural partners, heritage institutions, and forward-thinking municipalities who want to bring their location’s story to life in a new way.

If you work at a museum, heritage site, cultural institution, or municipality and you see a fit — we’d love to start a conversation. These projects take time and the right partners make all the difference.
